NOTES:
.
If the item you want is already out on loan and you have email, we will tell you quickly with the expected time the item(s) will be available for you.  And when your requested item(s) become available, we will email you again and you have three days to reply if you still want the item(s).
.
If you do not have email, or we cannot contact you by a local (ie. free) telephone call, the possibility arises that it may be impractical to save popular items for you due to delays in communication which are beyond ASK's control.  Sorry, we will do our best to help you if you do not have email, but our hard-working volunteer library staff can only achieve a certain amount with a combination of slow postal communications and very popular items.
.
CONDITIONS OF LOAN:
We ask borrowers to take good care of items loaned.
Loan Period and Returns: The normal loan period is one month, or two weeks for reference items (identified by a blue "R" or "RM" just after the title in the library list.  NOTE: "M" and "RM" suffixes are for members of ASK Trust only.).
Loan Period and Returns, part 2, the postal service: given that NZ Post must spend a little time transporting the library items to and from your address, we are flexible. If the ASK Trust library receives the books back say about a week after the due date, that will be OK.
Overdue, Lost or Damaged items: Although borrowing books is free for the time being, a bill for replacement may be sent to the borrower if the book is lost or damaged, or if it is not returned after a reminder from ASK when it has been overdue for a time.
Feedback Slips: Your book will be issued with a feedback slip.  Your comments written on the feedback slip about what you have read will be appreciated by the ASK librarian, who may be guided by your feedback in future purchase decision-making.  Your comments may also be included anonymously in the ASK library list just after the book title, to assist other borrowers.
